Who can see your viewing activity?
hi all, Alex with care norway here.
hi everyone. Shiraj from Chrysalis Sri Lanka
Hi all, namaste, good evening and good morning! Me from CARE Nepal!
Karin Wied Thomsen, DCA
https://www.vsla.net/vsla-tools/training-guides/ this one!
What is the trend/status of employing this app by the villagers and different agencies? How do you track the effectiveness of this this app? How do you integrate other features over the period?
Hi all, Melch CARE Uganda
and who is that outlier character?
Karin Wied Thomsen, DCA
Thanks @Dev Gautam for your good questions, I think we'll get to cover some of them later in the presentation. Otherwise, let's take them up afterwards
FYI all questions in the chat are being collected by Beja and we will ask them at the end of the presentation.
Sorry I need to jump to another meeting. But, thanks to DCA for giving the demo and Eric for organizing. Will be keen to hear CARE team reactions on this. Would this help you deliver programs? Could it reduce cost of group formation (or of Village Agent or CBT training)?
Or, what other ideas does this concept
Accessible in vernacular languages?
Stimulate in your minds for streamlining VSLA formation / supporting VSLA replicators?
I am not sure whether all understand English, would be good producing such app in local dialect to make it very effective :)
How long it will take to complete all the packages of the training?
Is the app available to download for free? And is it available in android and/or apple? And in light of the comments above is the app available for teams to adapt into their own languages?
Q: As we move into digitizing various aspects of the VSLA programs, with the introduction of applications like Chomoka or Auxfin that are providing digital ledger services. Do you have plans to amend the way the VSLA training app teaches users, right now it focuses on the use of the traditional cash box and record keeping books. What does that process look like and what are the costs associated with editing this application?
It is very interesting app, congrats :)
Sorry I might have missed this at the beginning, From a model perspective, the primary user is a vsla member or the trainer? If vsla memebera, is it for the 1-2 high capability users in the group or all? What has been the user experience for low digital capability users- are they able to complete tasks? Are trainers mediumDigital capability or fairly high?
Interesting app. Congrats!
Very useful tool even for beginners
Give the challenges posed by the pandemic, how would you train the VSLA members? Is online training effective for them given that they are not sophisticated in operating gadgets and apps
Great for scaling a more sustainable training model- I’m making assumptions of course - do we have any numbers of how much money we can save on training using ) more digital means?
Very interesting presentation and great to see so much interaction in chat. I have to leave early but look forward to rewatch q&a in recording. My question is whether the app is available offline and if this have any limitations?
Can't we select one leader form VSLA group and train her/him and teach their group rather field officer or project staff?
If facilitators are trained, how do the members reap the benefits? How can it serve the purpose?
Agree with Dev Ji, let's explore how to make the app in local language so that we can train VSLA leader.
Trainning to VSLA leader is obviously sustainable
But, it stills makes the members dependable
Hi All, it is an interesting app. Congrats! I'm interested in knowing about the challenges encountered in using the app especially with VSLA in rural areas?
Super interesting and amazing digital foundations for vsla!
Are we able to track completion of modules etc even when offline and get back end data? We are having this challenge on one of our apps.
The benefit is also that this allows those who are new to VSLA see the complete process before deciding to join (see the whole cycle). This I think will create more trust.
Facilitators will have access to the data of the members
Will that enviornment can build trust among members?
